Halls and stairways have awkward angles, high walls and surfaces that get touched every day. We survey the access and the woodwork as well as the wall area, then agree the preparation and finish before work starts.
A quotation can cover the walls alone or the complete space: ceiling, bannister, skirting, doors and door frames. Tell us about high ceilings, tight turns or existing wallpaper so the access and time are allowed for properly.
What the work can include
- Survey stair access and protect floors and handrails
- Prepare walls and ceilings to the agreed condition
- Fill local marks and treat stains where required
- Paint walls, ceiling and selected woodwork
- Inspect edges, coverage and touch points before handover
How we build the quote
The scope separates wall and ceiling area from metres of skirting and the number of doors or frames. Stair access, surface damage and drying time are included in the estimate rather than hidden in a flat m² price.
Do you paint the doors and skirting too?
Yes, when they are included in the agreed scope. You can ask for walls only or for the full hall, stairs and landing.
